Install TeamViewer on Pop!_OS
Let’s go through the steps on how to install TeamViewer on Pop!_OS. To do so, you can get the pre-built package of TeamViewer from their download page or use wget command line tool to install. For our case, lets proceed to use wget;
- Step 1. Update your System
Use the following command, to initiate the update;
sudo apt update
- Step 2. Install wget
This will help you get TeamViewer downloaded using the command line onto your system. To install wget, use the command below;
sudo apt install -y wget
This is what appears since I already have wget command line tool;

- Step 3. Download the TeamViewer Package onto your system, since we are dealing with Pop!_OS, we will get the Debian based package using our wget command line tool;

- Step 4. Install TeamViewer on Pop!_OS
To install this software, use the apt install command;
sudo apt install -y ./teamviewer_amd64.deb
All of the TeamViewer dependencies are now installed.

- Step 5. Launch TeamViewer from your Terminal or UI
Once you install TeamViewer on Pop!_OS successfully, launch it using the command line;
This is what happens when you launch TeamViewer on Pop!_OS terminal, you just have to accept the policies, and you are good to go;
To launch it from the UI, just head over to show applications, and search for on the Pop!_OS search box;
